About us
Made in Coventry Engineering is the retail arm of the much-respected small engineering firm GRP Engineering Ltd, started in the early 80's by father-son duo Geoff and Richard Price. Grown out of a family connection to, and love for, all things Triumph, we're proud to produce our own range of parts to suit classic Triumph motorcycles. Here's a little bit of our history...
Working at the Triumph factory, Meriden
Geoff worked at Triumph Meriden from 1957 until its closure in 1974. He was a Charge Hand on the track and was responsible for setting up the production line to assemble the Hurricane.
Two generations of Triumph
Richard grew up surrounded by bikes, and fondly remembers visits to the factory. After serving his time as a Toolmaker in Coventry, he went on to work for leading engineering companies in the city. But his real passion remained all things Triumph.
A family tradition to family business
From a garage set-up, via renting workshop space from Les Williams, to our own premises in Coventry, the business has prospered. Alongside parts for Triumphs, we manufacture parts for Aston Martin, Bentley, Morgan, Stauff and Federal-Mogul to name but a few.
Made in Coventry brand - a celebration of our roots
We are proud of Coventry's impressive manufacturing history, and our team are born out of this pedigree - each serving their time within the city limits. Our 'Made in Coventry' brand celebrates this heritage and we proudly stamp each of our precision-engineered products with this mark.
